Woman Dies, Seven Other Injured in South Kashmir Road Accident

Srinagar April 14: A woman lost her life while seven others were injured in a road accident in Awantipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District on Sunday.

An official said that an accident took place at Chursoo Awantipora, in which eight people got injured who were taken to PHC Awantipora.

He said that at PHC Awantipora doctors declared one woman, Sumi Jan, wife of Mudasir Ahmad Ganie resident of Panzgam, declared dead.

He further added that among injured persons three injured have been referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for further treatment and four of the injured are given treatment in PHC Awantipora and were stable.

Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started an investigation.(KS)
