Kulgam, Jan 30 (KF): On Tuesday Kulgam police have dealt a blow to a drug trafficking operation in the region by attaching a property belonging to a known peddler, Aijaz Ahmad Ganie.
The under construction house, bearing survey number 220 and located in Gadihama, Kulgam, was seized under section 68-F(2) of the NDPS Act, 1985, which allows authorities to target assets acquired through illegal drug sales.
This decisive action sends a clear message that drug trafficking will not be tolerated in Kulgam. The attached property serves as a reminder of the consequences of involvement in the drug trade and highlights the police’s commitment to dismantling such criminal activities.
The details of the case, including the specific charges against Ganie and the estimated value of the attached property, are currently unavailable. However, this development marks a significant victory for law enforcement in the ongoing fight against the drug menace in the region. (KF)
