ANANTNAG, Aug 05 (KF): In order to review the progress achieved on the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme (DILRMP), the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla today took a meeting of concerned officers of Revenue Department.
On the occasion, the DC took a detailed review of the computerization of Land Records including digitization of Jamabandies and authentication of Jamabandies.
While reviewing the progress achieved on digitization of Jamabandies in Anantnag district, the DC was informed that there are 394 Revenue Villages in Anantnag and digitisation of Jamabandies of all 394 Villages has been started by the concerned Tehsildars, out of which 78 Jamabandies have been digitized by the field staff so far and remaining will be completed soon.
The DC said that digitization is imperative for streamlining the revenue records and making revenue records easily accessible to the public through online based platforms.The DC said that the comprehensive digitization would ensure better land record management that will enhance the district’s overall land record maintenance forever.
The DC said that digitisation of Jamabandis is a challenging task and directed for keeping it properly up to date and well maintained and stressed upon officers and staff to complete the process of digitization of records in fixed timelines.The DC directed the officers to expedite the digitization process and clear the pendency of remaining Jamabandies.
He also directed the concerned to complete the Quality check of all remaining jamabandies in a time bound manner.
The DC exhorted them to work with added zeal and missionary approach to ensure complete digitisation of Jamabandis by 30th September in the district.
The meeting among others was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Sub Divisional Magistrates and all Tehsildars of the District. (KF)
