Congress won’t be cowed down by intimidation, misuse of Agencies: G.A. Mir

Srinagar July 27 (KF): Congress won’t be cowed by intimidation and misuse of Agencies against the leadership, it will defeat every challenge and intimidation on the part of BJP Govt.

J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Ghulam Ahmad Mir made these comments while leading the Satyagrah Protest against ED Summons to Sonia Gandhi, in Shangus area of South Kashmir on Wednesday

Senior Party Leaders included Former Legislator Gulzar Ahmad Wani, DCC President Farooq Ahmad Bhat, Block Presidents, DDC members, Sarpanchs and Panchs were present in the Protest and vowed to fight against the ED Policy of BJP Govt.

Speaking on the occasion Ghulam Ahmad Mir termed ED Summons to Sonia Gandhi as unfortunate and unacceptable and questioned the ED Policy of BJP Govt. There is no FIR or any proof of money laundering in National Hearlad case despite that Govt has unleashed ED against Congress Leadership inorder hide its failure, rising prices, unemployment, unfulfilled promises and various unresolved issues, which the BJP could not address even after more than seven year’s rule.

Modi Govt want to keep Congress Leadership engaged to malign the image of leadership, but the people have realized that it has done nothing for them, so unleashed ED and other agencies against opposition especially Congress to divert the attention and crush the dissent, Mir said.

Mir expressed solidarity with Sonia Gandhi and pledged to continue fighting against divisive and diversionary tactics of Modi Govt. Congress is strongly enough and won’t be cowed down by the vendetta politics of BJP, Mir added.

District Congress Committee Srinagar held similar Satyagrah protest in Srinagar in which PCC Vice President Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, General Secretary Surinder Singh, President DCC Abdul Gani Khan, Working President Mir Ruvais and various other leaders participated and raised slogans against misuse of agencies against Congress Leadership by Modi Govt.

Meanwhile District Congress Committee Baramulla held Satyagrah Protest in Chandanwari area of Baramulla District in which Former Minister & Senior Congress Leader Taj Mohi U Din, DCC President Fayaz Ahmad Mir, BDC Chairman Bharat Kumar and various other leaders participated.

Taj Mohi U Din sought end to unnecessary ED Summons against Party Leadership and said such vendetta politics won’t help BJP to replace the damage it is going to suffer in coming days, as it  stands exposed for adopting divisive and misleading politics. (KF)
