75 feet high Tiranga hoisted on 75th Independence day at DC office Anantnag

Anantnag Aug 13 (KF): Under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsov and to give boost to the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, DDC Chairman, Mohd Yousuf Gorsi, DDC Anantnag Dr. Piyush Singla, SSP Ashish Mishra today jointly hoisted and Unfurled the National flag in DC office premises here. President Muncipal Council Anantnag, Hilal Ahmad Shah, ACR Shoib Noor, ACD, and other district officers were present also.

It is pertinent to mention here that a Mega Tiranga of 75 feet high was hoisted on the occasion.

While speaking on the occasion DDC Anantnag, said that this day shall stand as of historic importance as the whole nation is hoisting the Trianga on their homes. He also congratulated people on the eve of Independence Day.

DDC Chairman, also spoke on the occasion and said that he feels very proud and happy while hoisting the National Flag and impressed upon the people to inculcate the values of nationalism and patriotism among the new generations.

SSP spoke on the Har Ghar Tiranga Campiagn and importance of National Symbols. President MC Anantnag also shared his views.

Furthermore, it was reiterated at the occasion this Day is the most auspicious day for the people of India as India becomes independent after lots of hardships and sacrifices of the brave Indian freedom fighters.

Significance of National Flag was also highlighted by the speakers. (KF)
