25 Tourists rescued in Kokernag

Under the supervision of Deputy Comissioner Anantnag, a joint rescue operation was launched by administration of Sub Division Kokernag ( Revenue, Police and NHIDCL) and Administration of Sub Division Chatroo( Revenue and police) under supervision of SDMs Kokernag & Chatroo on Wednesday (22 June) at around 11am to Rescue the half a dozen vehicles carrying 25 tourists, locals, supplies etc who were stuck near sinthan top road.

The road was blocked due to fresh snowfall land slide.Tehsildars and SHOs of both the sides were closely monitoring the operation under supervision of SDPO Kokernag.
19 RR was on stand by.
