Poonch, March 27 (KF): A low intensity explosion in the heart of bordering Poonch sparked panic among locals and security agencies late last night.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the blast occurred near a religious place, following which police and security forces reached to the spot.
“Preliminary investigation suggested that the blast was apparently caused by hurling of a grenade by suspected terrorists,” he said, adding that the area has been cordoned off.
SSP Poonch Yougal Manhas told KNO that investigation has been started and details will be shared later.
“Necessary investigation into the matter has been set into motion to ascertain the exact nature of the material which apparently looks like a handmade crude substance,” the SSP said—(KNO)
