Mudslide and Falling Rocks Cause Closure of Srinagar-Jammu National Highway

Srinagar, Aug 01: The traffic along the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway has been halted, courtesy mudslides and shooting stones, said Deputy Commissioner Ramban on his official X handle.

“Traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been halted due to a mudslide at Hingni & intermittent shooting stones at Mehad, Panthiyal, T2 & Kishtwari Pather,” the DC wrote.

The DC said that the weather along the highway is inclement and that the commuters shall confirm the status of the road before undertaking the journey.
