Leopard Attack in Ganderbal Leaves Four Injured, Including Wildlife Officials and Policeman

Ganderbal, April 03 (KF): A leopard attack in the Fatehpora area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district has left four individuals injured, including two wildlife department officials, a woman, and a policeman.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing the leopard roaming in the area on Wednesday morning, causing panic among residents. The wildlife department officials were promptly informed.

As the officials were setting a trap to capture the animal, the leopard attacked them, resulting in injuries. A policeman who responded to the scene was also injured in the incident. Earlier, a woman had been injured by the same leopard.

The injured individuals were rushed to the district hospital in Ganderbal for medical treatment.

After a concerted effort involving rescue teams from the wildlife department, police, and forest protection force, the leopard was successfully captured.
