Srinagar, Aug 16: In a significant move to improve the healthcare system in Jammu and Kashmir, the Health and Medical Education Department has transferred and posted 26 key officials across various districts in the Union Territory.

The reshuffle is aimed at ensuring the smooth functioning of the health sector, enhancing service delivery, and providing patients with more efficient and timely medical care.

This reshuffle reflects the department’s efforts to revamp healthcare management across Jammu and Kashmir. By strategically placing experienced professionals in key positions, the Health Department aims to address existing gaps in the healthcare system and improve patient care.

New postings include Dr. Syed Arshid Qadri as Medical Superintendent of Gousia Hospital, Srinagar, and Dr. Aijaz Kanth, who will lead District Hospital Budgam. Several Block Medical Officers (BMOs) have also been reassigned, with Dr. Lahoot Hassan handling additional responsibilities at Khansahib and Dr. Mir Mushtag taking over at Magam.
