Anantnag, Jan 10 (KF): In a move to enforce strict adherence to licensing guidelines, the Drug Control Department in Anantnag has suspended the operation of a chemist shop namely Fiza Pharmacy for failing to implement computerised billing system.
The suspension occurred during an inspection of several chemist shops here in Anantnag District on Friday.
Official sources told Kashmir First that a show cause notice was also served to Basharat Medicate at Mehandi Kadal Anantnag for non issuance of CBS generated invoices to patients.
Speaking to Kashmir First, Aashiq Hussain, Drug Control Officer of Anantnag, said, To ensure product quality and safety, we have collected 20 samples for analysis from the drug store at GMC Anantnag.
Our department is committed to safeguarding public health by enforcing drug regulations and ensuring the availability of quality medicines and cosmetics,’ he added.
He further stated that the Drug Control Department strives to maintain high standards across the district, ensuring compliance for the safety and well-being of the public.
