BJP Launches Mass Contact Programme in Anantnag
Party Gen Secy J&K Ashok Koul Says Ready for Elections Whenever Held
Anantnag, July 22 (KF): In run up to forthcoming Assembly elections in UT of Jammu and Kashmir, Bharatiya Janata Party have launched a mass contact programme and Ashok Koul General Secretary (Organizational) with party general secretary Ashok Koul visiting Anantnag on Thursday last to hold a meeting with party functionaries at Dak Banglow. The meeting was attended by National Council Member BJP and Constituency Incharge West Anantnag Mohd Rafiq Wani, senior party leader Advocate Wajahat Hussain and Cluster incharges of Constituency besides others.
While speaking to the media General Secretary (Organizational) Ashok Koul, as per Kashmir Glory, said that the final voter list will be finalized by October 31 this year, following to which the elections can be announced at any time by the ECI. “BJP is ready for elections be it held at any time”, Koul said adding we feel time is ripe for announcement of date of elections here.
Senior BJP leader and Constituency incharge of West Anantnag Mohd Rafiq Wani also spoke on the occasion.
Seconding his senior party leader, Wani said that they were ready for elections. “We have launched the mass contact programme as it is our duty to reach out and see the problems faced by the general public, to resolve them”, Wani said.
General Secretary Ashok Koul urged party functionaries to make direct contact with people to ascertain their views and seek their feedback about the welfare schemes launched by the Centre government. (KF)
