Srinagar, July 03: An earthquake measuring magnitude 4.4 on the Richter scale struck Leh in Ladakh on Wednesday, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
According to NSC, the earthquake’s epicenter was located at Latitude 36.10 North and Longitude 74.81 East, with a depth of 150 kilometres. The earthquake occurred at 8:12 am local time on Wednesday.
The NCS stated, “Magnitude: 4.4, Date/Time: 03/07/2024 08:12:59 IST, Latitude: 36.10 N, Longitude: 74.81 E, Depth: 150 km, Location: Leh, Ladakh.”
However no loss of life or property has been reported.
